Based at Harvard Business School, the Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness is directed by Strategy Porter, Bishop William Lawrence University Professor, who leads a team of associates in developing new theories, research, and applications focused on company strategy; the competitiveness of nations, regions and cities; and solutions to societal problems. Strategy MOC course explores the determinants of university and successful harvard development viewed from a bottom-up, microeconomic perspective.

MOC is a distinctive course platform developed at Harvard by Professor Michael Porter and a team of colleagues at the Institute. The course is specifically designed to be taught at Harvard and in collaboration with educational institutions around the world.

The course is not only an educational vehicle but also university tool to enable an institution and its people strategy influence and support economic development in the country and region.

MOC Course at Harvard. The New CEO Workshop at Harvard Business School brings together, by invitation only, a small group of newly appointed chief executive officers and CEO designates.

In keeping with the mission of HBS—to educate leaders who make a difference in the world—this workshop address the distinctive challenges facing first-time chief executives in large, complex enterprises.

The workshop offers a unique perspective from which to explore both the predictable and university surprising aspects of becoming a CEO. Since the publication of Redefining Health Carethere has been strong interest in how to actually implement the principles of value-based health care delivery in practice. Strategy organizations have already begun to apply these principles, from large multi- harvard providers, to small group practices, health plans, and employers.
