No matter ameritrade simple or complex, you can upgrade it here. This is not for me, but for a friend who is upgrade very experienced or wise in regards to investing.

This person is in his mid 40s, works as a farrier, with a good clientele. He just started investing last year and for some reason felt upgrade needed to buy stocks. He set up a TD Ameritrade account online and bought some stocks in both a regular account and a Sep IRA account.

None of that was with my knowledge or advice Yesterday he called me and says he was ameritrade at TD Ameritrade that his regular stock account is "upside down". He called them to start getting things transferred to VG. I do not know much about margin accountsor about TD Ameritrade, form therefore do not feel I have much wisdom to offer in ameritrade to this particular situation or mess up Ameritrade also says he thinks he remembers the online set up asking him is he wanted margin/options information on options, and thinks he did say yes to that He margin/options he never signed any papers agreeing to buying things on margin.

He says he never saw any info on the costs of the loans for buying on margins and margin/options had any discussions with ameritrade except enough to go into the TD Ameritrade office in his city and give them a check to open the account. He says no way in heck would he knowingly set up to buy on marigins or with options Fortunately he only owes about 60 dollars in interest Is form possible for a neophyte which he was and is to set up an account margin/options buy on margin and not know it It does seem like most places who sell stocks would be having a guy sign a lot of disclosure papers and form a real discussion as to the suitability of having that kind of account?

Does this sound likely or even possible upgrade this could happen accidentally to a neophyte? I,HAVE READ AND AGREE Margin/options ALL OF THE ABOVE. You definitely ameritrade to apply and go through the process, usually takes a couple days to get approval. Margin/options not sure how he could've managed to do that without being aware of it.
